  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • A very enjoyable internship, with many activities, including networking events, parties, volunteering work or senior meetings. Offers a diverse experience which is a really good way of deciding on your future career.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • I have joined the team and worked on the same tasks as the rest of the team. Although as general advice, don't expect that from the very beginning. You have to prove you can be trusted with possibly risky tasks first.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • For all the problems I had, my manager has been available for questions and even when he could not help me, he was able to point me in the right direction.

    • The work load is perfectly manageable, although first week(s) and last days are always more relaxed.

    • Once you prove that you are a reliable team member, responsibility will be given to you when necessary.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • From technical skills to business and communication skills, I feel I had he opportunity to improve in every direction. The work experience is really good, getting you used to working in a corporate and valuable environment.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • As everywhere else, it mostly depends on the day. People might be having a great and relaxed day, or a busy day full of meetings and tasks. From fun to stressed days, you get the chance to experience everything.

    • Lots of activities organized for all the interns, useful and informative induction days - I can personally say they spent quite a lot of time organizing all these events throughout the summer.

    • There was a huge amount of resources available for training online, in different fields such as business, technology, management, etc.

    • The prospects of getting a job are generally good, although one needs to prove reliability and good skills.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • All the interns were involved in plenty of networking events and the social scene has been quite good.

    • The internship was in London, so the cost of living and socialising is by definition high.

    • Nightlife in London is very good - plenty of options and events to choose from.

    • From volunteering work to football matches, there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy the free time.
