    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Best job I have ever had.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Most of my colleagues I would also describe as friends, we regularly did social activities and had nights out.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given a through introduction and induction to the company and my job role, I had a good hand over with my previous placement student. After completing my training I was then left to get on with my job without constant supervision, which I really enjoyed, Although there was always help available when needed.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had my regular essential jobs that I completed on a weekly or monthly basis, then project work to get on with too, I never had nothing to do, but similarly I was not often stressed with a heavy work load.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I felt I was given valuable, meaningful work that made a real difference to the company. After I was settled in I could make, what I felt, were important decisions on a daily basis, such as how to resolve customer issues, listing new products, managing projects and leading small teams of interns.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have built up a great skill set during my time at Groupe SEB, I feel most of them are transferable to other employment, especially time management and teamwork.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always lots of activities going on.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • GSUK have been running placements for 6 years, so they know what they are doing, although their approach still feels personal.
