Overview
We were supervised by lawyers and were assigned research tasks to work on. We also received presentations on various practice groups, engaged in socials and gained an overall insight into Latham’s practice
Skills
Holistically, I’ve certainly developed my people skills and ability to work in a team. My organisational skills have improved immensely too. Further, constantly being surrounded with highly intelligent lawyers naturally means my writing, research and legal skills have improved.
Business Insight
It was a novel experience, by which I gained a real behind the scenes insight into the upper echelon of a large commercial law firm.
Culture
The culture was both diverse and amenable, with everyone willing to help out.

I very much enjoyed getting to know how Latham works, the people there and gain a more acute understanding of the work that is done.
Yes
Latham is a firm that has a variety of USPs, so focusing on these will make your application stand out. Also it is good to understand the lack of hierarchy at Latham, and see how that fits in to your way of working.
