    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Managing claims and working the whole day around how many things I have to do. The main responsibilities are customer service, making sure I complete all my tasks for the day so I don't have anything pending tomorrow and also helping my peers whenever they are stuck in a claim. I come in 8 in the morning and start by doing some admin stuff such as distributing any payments I have and sending files to solicitors if they have requested me to. Then, I move on to do my tasks for the day, and then if I have time after 2 or 3, then I can move on to do some overdue tasks.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I cannot thank Enterprise enough for this because I have developed so many new skills and enhanced some existing skills as well. I have worked in many customer service backgrounds, so I do know how to deal with customers however this job has taught me how to be really patient with the customers. I have learnt how to work with a team in a professional setting which I hated to do prior to this. This placement has taught me that working in a team can be fun and it can be useful for your future as you never know who your next future manager might be. Networking and relationship building also has great importance. I continue to take time out from my calendar to do this and of course it is with the support of my manager. I have met so many new people just by putting myself forward.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I have been given huge responsibilities during my placement. I was always treated as a professional and not an intern by my team. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, I consistently demonstrate unparalleled proficiency in claim examination, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in every case. My unwavering dedication to providing exceptional customer service has not only bolstered client satisfaction but has also resulted in my being recognized with two prestigious awards for outstanding performance in individual claim cost recovery and critical account claim cost recovery. Beyond my core responsibilities, I actively contribute to internal account management, providing invaluable operational support to all my peers. Moreover, my commitment to fostering a positive and enjoyable work environment is evident in the team's morale, creating a workplace that thrives on collaboration and success. I am not just a contributor but a leader who oversees the accurate and timely completion of workloads, maintaining and improving a robust internal system. I have mentored and trained 5 new hires and seeing them working as a fully trained professional incorporates a sense of pride in me every day.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I have thanked my manager every time I am presented with an opportunity. She has been the best manager in my career because of how supportive and encouraging she is. She has been my backbone throughout the placement. She is always one text away and does not mind help me or even anyone else in the team. She is a prime example of unwavering dedication and a passion of developing new employees to full blown professionals in the department.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is inclusive and positive. This company stands by its values. One of my personal favourite values is "we work hard and reward hard work". This is very true as I see hundreds of my peers being promoted and referred to opportunities internally and if you wish to seek support to do this, you can reach out to the most senior leader out there and they would be willing to support you until you get that opportunity. I have never seen such a good company culture before.

  • Please research the website of Enterprise, look for some fun facts that you could possibly bring up in your interview.
