    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Numerous presentations were participatory, and group projects were also engaged. Presenters discussed employability skills, Lloyds values, and other topics. The purpose of group work, while simple, was to improve teamwork and communication. Great Q&A sessions to learn more about working for Lloyds and their different early career choices. Being able to see what they are looking for in assessment centres and how to present myself in a way that meets their needs provided me with a great deal of insight into interview approach.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Although I did not acquire any new abilities, the seminar helped boost my confidence when I applied for their early careers. You may develop more online collaboration skills if you are new to online meetings and conversations. There were group sessions, so you could also learn how to operate in a team; nevertheless, I found that the teamwork was extremely limited. Not to mention, they offered some extremely informative seminars on developing a personal brand and self-improvement that you can use.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • As it challenges any previous notions you may have about banking, learning about the businesses was useful. Although the website explicitly states that anyone with a 2:2 can apply, hinting that they accept a wide range of individuals, the experience absolutely underlined this. It was very illuminating to see how they view potential recruits. Due to the fact that I did not attend a "target" university, this gave me more confidence when I applied for future banking positions.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • I appreciated its ideals and thought that the company culture was highly inclusive. Having the courage to express oneself while, of course, being courteous. Additionally, the mood seemed laid-back, but it can be difficult to judge from an insight course that may be aimed at first-year students. The presenters, however, were excellent at creating an environment and projecting confidence; they had clearly practised or had experience doing what they were doing. challenged my prior assumptions.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really liked the insight since it gave me more self-assurance. It was fascinating to learn about the ideals and to see how they were presented in many ways, such as through personal brands. As everything was quite general, the insight could have been improved if additional information had been provided about specific responsibilities. For instance, there was nothing regarding my career interest for the bank, corporate/commercial banking. Despite the fact that they hired experienced people, they were not a part of this branch of the bank.

  • 7. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group
  • I would suggest researching their beliefs and corporate culture, just as with all other banks. Also, you should be completely familiar with the position for which you are applying. Additionally, you should be prepared to discuss all of your experience in-depth during the interview because employers want to hear about all of your experience, not just "relevant" experience. This offers applicants, who may not be as closely associated with banking, the chance to work at the bank if they come across as friendly.
