    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Consisted of two days with Lloyds Banking Group where we spoke to members of the team at the company to learn more about the technology and data science sectors. We partook in group projects where we had to feed back to the other teams (consisting of approximately 20 other people in total), and receive relevant feedback to help us progress in these fields of work. We attended a Coding 101 session where we delved into Python and applying our knowledge to practice tasks.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I learnt about the syntax of Python, the programming language. It helped me to understand the applicability of other coding languages. I will definitely be practicing Python in my own time to better grasp the syntax as a whole. I also developed on my teamwork skills, as we had multiple group project tasks, where we worked in teams of around 5 or 6. It helped me communicate effectively with my team members also. I made great connections also.
