Overview
I attended numerous informative sessions given by partners, associates, and support staff. I also engaged with the practice area seats by researching contentious areas of the law that may be relevant for our clients.
Skills
I learned how to use legal databases, including Practical Law. I also learning the basic deal structures of structured finance and Private M&A deals.
Business Insight
It was exciting to hear about all the opportunities for trainees at Latham across practice areas. As someone who is not certain about which practice areas I want to sit in, it was beneficial to see all the career options available.
Culture
Everyone was very friendly and collegial. People were very hard working, but also made it a point not to take themselves too seriously. While the work may be intense, the people are fairly relaxed and approachable.
