    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role as an intern at the Lloyds Banking Group included getting exposure to many facets of the banking sector and participating in particular projects and initiatives. On a daily basis, I worked on a variety of duties that changed based on the team and department I was assigned to. Research, data analysis, report writing, meeting attendance, and assistance with team tasks on a daily basis could all fall under this category. I also got to take part in training sessions, attend training sessions, and network with established experts. In general, my job centred on giving me a thorough understanding of the banking industry and honing my talents in a genuine business setting

  • I enhanced my overall analytical and problem-solving abilities through data analysis and research projects. I gained valuable experience in using industry-specific software and tools to support my work. Additionally, I developed my communication and presentation skills through collaborating with team members and delivering project updates. The internship provided me with opportunities to develop a strong work ethic, time management, and attention to detail. These skills are essential for a successful career in the banking industry.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • As an intern with Lloyds Banking Group, I was given a high degree of responsibility. Although I was under the supervision of skilled professionals, I was given responsibilities that affected the projects and efforts I was a part of. I got to manage my time and priorities, take charge of certain deliverables, and support the team's objectives. I received encouragement to contribute my thoughts, offer my perspective, and actively participate in team meetings and debates. My professional development and ability to make significant contributions to the organisation were made possible by the amount of responsibility.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • My team, mentors, and supervisors at Lloyds Banking Group provided me with fantastic support and direction throughout my internship. They offered me a thorough onboarding procedure that included an explanation of the company, its principles, and the team dynamics. I received regular feedback on my work during the internship, which helped me develop and enhance my skills. The team members were constantly ready to respond to queries, offer advice, and extend help when required. In order to improve my learning and growth, the organisation also offered training courses, networking opportunities, and resources. The assistance and direction I received helped to create a welcoming and productive learning environment.

  • My internship at Lloyds Banking Group was fantastic. I was given the chance to work for a prestigious and forward-thinking banking organisation, which gave me priceless experience and industry insights. The excellent experience was a result of the difficult tasks, the encouraging colleagues, and the general working environment. I had the chance to put my abilities to use, pick up tips from experts, and support important projects. My interest in banking was piqued throughout the internship, and it was reinforced that I wanted to work in this industry.

  • I would suggest that anyone who are applying to work with Lloyds Banking Group emphasise their enthusiasm for the banking sector, openness to learning, and teamwork skills. Put a focus on any relevant extracurriculars, employment history, or academic courses that illustrates your passion in banking and finance. Be sure to emphasise your capacity for problem-solving and analysis, as well as your capacity for rapid environment change.
