Overview
The insight was unbelievable, I had contact with trainees, associates and partners in the firm to ask questions and learn from their every day practice. I done work for the firm at mostly trainee level - though I got to sit in on client calls with partners and associates to see what their work load entails.
Skills
I learned how to apply my law skills to work situations and how to balance my workload with the requirement to get my face out there and make connections within the firm. I developed my social skills by constantly mingling with new people and forging connections in the workplace.
Business Insight
The career progression path was obvious within the firm, with each level being explained in its importance to us. It gave me inspiration to think about the future and plan my career.
Culture
So friendly; the firm is unbelievably professional, however they maintain a respectable and friendly environment which makes it a place I would love to work
Your Impressions
I loved it, I got a great insight into the firm but also made new friends and spent quality time with my colleagues in the many socials planned by the talent team at the firm
Yes
Just be yourself, the firm does not want overly competitive, egotistical individuals who treat their fellow Vac Schemers like competition. They want to see you working together as colleagues, as this will show you can do it in the workplace. The firm has a clear friendly culture and they want to maintain that, so be nice and be yourself
