Overview
Focus on sessions with each department, written assessment, verbal reasoning test and a group activity. In each department I sat in I completed various tasks including drafting, research and proofreading contracts.
Skills
Time management, teamwork, communication, drafting and legal research
Business Insight
The firm has many departments each with very different types of work, but the collegiate culture remains throughout.
Culture
It felt much more like a startup then a law firm. Most individuals were willing to give their time to speak to me and answer my questions. It is an excellent environment for young lawyers to grow and develop.
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed the insight. I learned a lot about both myself and the legal industry that will be incredibly useful moving forward.
Yes
It’s important to speak to as many people from the firm as possible so you can get a flavour of its culture and work.
