- Sat with an associate in the real estate finance department. - Completed a group project which required us to come up with how the firm could improve its environmental initiatives, and presented this to a panel. - Attended numerous workshops/ presentations giving an insight into the firm and commercial law generally. - Networked with lawyers from across the firm, with all different levels of seniority.

- Developed an ability to write concisely through producing a memorandum which highlighted the key points of a research task. - Developed collaboration and presentation skills. - Received mentorship from a diversity and inclusion network, which gave me guidance into how to network and career advice more generally.

Gained a good insight into what being a trainee involves and how this role progresses as you become more senior.

I was surprised by how willing everyone was to introduce themselves to me, particularly with where I was sat. This made the week very enjoyable as I felt very welcomed and felt there were many people I could reach out to if I felt I needed support.

I found the insight I gained during this week invaluable. I feel it will really benefit me throughout my career development and has provided me with an insight into the sectors which I might like to qualify in.
