  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • After being introduced to the project, performed voltage compliance studies using DIgSILENTPower Factory software, discussed findings with other engineers within the team and and presented them in form of a report. Attended large team meetings and site visits.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • During the placement I was given a lot of responsibility as the results of my studies were used to determine some of the future investments of NG. Although, I had constant support by other engineers in my team when needed.

  • During my placement there was a lot of support available from my team manager as well as all the members of my team, always available to answer any of my questions.

  • National Grid is a very inclusive company, with a number of different events being organised. Everyone in the company was keen to help me gain further knowledge about the business
