    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was responsible for building a platform that allows engineers to view the internal state of an application both during local development and in production. During my internship, I was working hybrid - 2 days in office and 3 days from home. Pretty much like any other company - daily stand up meeting to catch up on the work that has been completed since yesterday.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is like any other bank in my opinion. It has both its good and bad side. Long working hours is very common and sometimes feels like it's the norm to stay past 5:30pm. The general atmosphere can be a bit intimidating at first but once you get used to your team and people around you, it gets better.
