  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role involves working on a series of different projects. Rewriting and reading polices, creating DEIB and wellbeing communications.

  • I have developed my writing skills, learnt how to use Microsoft suite of products more efficiently and also how to reword or rewrite policies.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes I was given a lot of responsibility such as working on a template for culturally relevant services in our cities for black students which falls under the living black at university commission. I was also responsible for developing our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Wellbeing communications for our unite monthly.

  • I received a lot of support from my colleague and manager during the internship. They were there every step of the way.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Very welcoming, fun and colourful. I enjoyed it because a lot of people are young and they can easily come down to our level and relate with us because they work with students.

  • I fully enjoyed my time here at Unite Students and would love to work for the company full time if successful. It is a great company to work with and there is a lot of career progression and opportunities available.

  • I would say they should apply because they wouldn't regret it. I would say they should make an effort to network with people in the company, do a lot of research about the company and they should be themselves.
