The first day is spent at the Bank office! The hospitality was unmatched and the morning talks encompass the three different insight programs. Day 2 and 3 were at the Canary Wharf program (on the top floor). We received a range of panels, interactive tasks and tours of the building. There was lots of opportunities to network throughout the program. The second day involved a social for all of the spring insighters at the o2!
I have really developed my understanding of financial markets, JPM and the different opportunities there as for a career in the sector and at the firm! This is also an amazing opportunity to build your professional and peer network. I have made friends on the program that will now last a lifetime!
This made up a great part of the program. The program allowed you to learn about a range fo careers and understand how the role evolved from Analyst to MD. This was really helpful in understanding progression and where you may want to pivot to as your career develops.
I think it was very intellectual. Whereas other banks focussed more on the "core value" driven nature of the culture, JPM focussed less on this. However, we were able to learn more about diversity initiatives which was great. However, I did find that other banks had clearer "core values".
I enjoyed the program. I got the opportunity to visit another bank the week prior and felt that I would have fitted in better at that establishment. However, that is not to take away from JPM and what they offer. JPM offered an incredibly enriching experience and for many one that drove excitement going into the Summer Analyst application. I found that I personally felt that I didn't fit into the culture.
Yes
I would ultimately say to be yourself. I really ensured that when completing the HireVue process that I was authentic and I hope and believe that the authentic shown in that process was what propelled me to acceptance.
