    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role involved completing 4 stock pitches across 4 different sectors. I was responsible for researching companies, forming an investment thesis and creating the accompanying financial model. I also dialled in to several internal sector calls to better understand different industries.

  • I had minimal field experience when starting the internship, so the steep learning curve taught me the core skills needed to excel, namely research consolidation, financial analysis and modelling. Everyone was generous with their time and I never felt discouraged from asking questions. Additionally, all of the analysts in the office were also willing to help wherever they could.
