  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Daily catch up with manager to see my progress. CADP programme events with Senior Speakers, Networking coffee chats & general team calls. My work was mainly using Alteryx, Tableau & Powerpoint.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I felt like I was given quite a lot of responsibility. I directly reported to an ED so I had great exposure to senior members of the company. My work was actually used while I was there & will continue to be even when I leave.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Good camaraderie, very friendly people. Set up regular networking chats and didn't mean anyone who was unfriendly or in any way rude. Company strives for excellence and forwards progress which is clear from the start.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I throughly enjoyed the experience, completing some meaningful work and met loads of great interns and people already working at the company. Perhaps the work wasn't as financial as I expected it to be, but that is what the internship is for; to show you the role in advance of the grad scheme.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan
  • Pick a unique topic for your presentation, as I feel this really helped me get the internship. Don't be afraid to ask questions & always take the company up on any potential training courses. My virtual assessment centre contained a presentation with q&a and two interviews, one more competancy based and the other more surrounding my previous experiences.
