    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The insight mainly involved talks from graduates as well as stakeholders about the financial and technological world. We also had the opportunity to network and ask questions to whomever was speaking!

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • From one of the talks, I was able to observe the importance of commercial awareness therefore it is something I have been trying to develop ever since attending the event. My presentation and communication skills were also improved slightly as a result of attending the event due to the nature of our task. At first I was quite shy to speak up but after getting comfortable, I was asking questions and contributing soo much more.

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Wiley Edge
  • If you’re considering, just apply! The application process did not feel strenuous at all. The numerical reasoning test was even enjoyable (though you may have to brush up on your mental arithmetic skills). The interview process literally felt like a friendly conversation and coupled with the small incentives you receive as well as the interesting speakers that attend, I would say that it is more than worth it to apply!
