Introduction to the Markets division at JP Morgan. There are speed networking sessions with people from various divisions and levels of seniority within the division, a trading simulation session, a group presentation on a Sales Case Study, tips on networking and personal brand, and a session about understanding the bank's culture.
Teamwork, networking and communication skills have definitely been enhanced through the speed networking and personal branding session. Presentational skills were developed through the sales interactive case study.
Eye opening. The bank really has a lot of room for people with all types of skills, there are so many different roles that apply to so many different interests and capabilities, and that was made very clear during the session.
Very collaborative, very welcoming, very communicative, very lively. At no point did I feel as though I wasn't heard or couldn't speak. People were very warm and inviting.
I really enjoyed engaging with people and learning from them. I liked having the opportunity to speak to people and follow up after sessions without fear of being ignored.
Be open, have something different about you. Have a personality, do not be all about banking/finance, you need to have multiple aspects to your personality. Everyone has top grades and knowledge of the industry, you need to bring and speak about something different from your experience.
