  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Really well organized and the people running the event were very nice!

  • Although it was just an Open Day, the firm put us in a good position for future applications and directed us to the relevant information.

  • We had trainees in the small group activities that were really helpful in guiding our focus to the relevant points.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In addition to application tips, one of the partners also spoke of taking care of mental health. It was a good reminder to keep ourselves healthy despite high academic/career demands.

  • Very structured, the timing was followed really well and all the sessions were quite punctual.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The attendees and presenters were all very welcoming and friendly. I appreciated that because firm culture can often be intimidating, but this was a comfortable environment (even online).

  • Application tips and walking us through the process, not too much investment.

  • The trainee Q+A was very helpful as we got a closer look at what it would be like to work at the firm. The partner presentations also explained the work culture.

  • Discussed the different diversity/inclusion initiatives, why people stay in the firm, what day to day interactions look like.

  • Virtual event - no expenses were made, so no money involved.

  • Small group exercise only, but no designated time slot for networking.

  • Not really applicable - online event. The game was a good way to see some faces and chat, though.

  • Yes, the team talked about social events that are planned, as well as casual social gatherings.

  • Yes, I would because of the insight game and the opportunity you get to ask questions. Everyone was really supportive and kind!
