The Role
This was hands down the best internship/ work experience I have done. I did it during Summer 2020 so it was all virtual, however, the support was amazing. You would have thought that the virtual internship was the 'plan A' not an alternative to in person ones. Whilst I know my experience was different the normal, due to Corona, i think this just highlights how adaptable JPMorgan are as a company and how much they truly value the experience of their interns.
I felt very valued by my colleagues. I was constantly given feedback, good and bad, and was encouraged to ask for constructive feedback to help with my internship and I felt that they gave incredibly valuable feedback.
Despite doing the internship virtually, we were given a lot of support. We had buddies, managers, supervisors etc and we got to talk a lot with existing colleagues about their role and what they do to learn more about the company.
I was very busy at the latter end of the internship but it was very fulfilling.
We were given a fair amount of responsibility but not too much that it was stressful as an intern.
I felt as though some of the training was not really needed but overall, the training was brilliant.
The Company
It was a work from home situation so i didn't get to go to the office.
It was very well organised. You wouldn't have thought a global pandemic was going on! A lot of thought was put into the programme.
I felt that they invested in me a lot as a lot of colleagues would take the time to talk to me and really made me feel like i worked there.
they are very appealing! So much so that i got offered a place on the graduate scheme and 100% accepted it.
The Culture
The social part was probably the best bit. Everyone is up for talking.
