About You
The small intake size allowed us to get well-acquainted with the Graduate Recruitment team. Lawyers at the firm were also very forthcoming in meeting with us informally and making us feel welcome.
Despite the short length of the scheme, we were given numerous touchpoints with the firm i.e. Graduate Recruitment, trainee buddies, mentors, all of whom were highly responsive.
The scheme provided insights into the daily work of my selected practice group, and how the firm operates as an organisation.
The Company
The timetable struck a good balance between formal programmes and downtime for us to complete assigned tasks, and organise our own engagements.
Welcoming and fun.
We were exposed to firm employees from a comprehensive range of practice groups and levels of seniority.
We were able to learn about the firm's values both from lawyers in senior management, and anecdotes on how these were put into practice from the other firm employees. I was definitely able to witness Latham's culture on a much deeper level than I would have simply by perusing third-party sources.
Everything Else
Firm employees were very accommodating in organising informal networking chats and engagements.
