Great culture, great opportunity to learn about the Japanese culture and its influence on the bank.
I feel the diversity is very welcomed at the bank, as an Asian, that is what I value a lot.
Got great chance to learn about the technical knowledge from the presentation and stock pitching acitivities.
I learnt about the financial knowledge and the insight about the industry.
Very well structured, and the HR team is super nice and supportive.
other spring interns are engenging.
Yes, the bank has invested a lot in our personal training. Before the program start, we receive agenda and during the event, we have presentations from speakers in the industry who share the first-hand experience about their work and daily responsibilities, I definitely feel I am heavily invested by the bank
For the last session, we have a presentaion from the HR to help us better understand the recruitment process of the a full-time role and what to be expected. In addition, we also have a presentation from a business people, who share us first-hand experience about their work and daily responsibilities of the full time role.
For the presentation task, we worked in a team to learn about the company culture including its strengths, long-term targets, which helps a lot to understand the company's core values as well as the culture. In addition, from the presentation of the HR, we also have some insights about what kind of people the company is looking for, to better understand the culture.
The presentation from the business people from different team makes me to have a better idea about my career path to figure out whether I am interested in investment banking division or technology or global markets such as sales and trading. at the same time to make myself better prepared for my applications
There are two programs, one is women in investment banking or global markets or technology, this is a two week program and people are paid around £700, another one is discovery nomura program, this is not paid. I participated in the discovery nomura program. So I was not paid during the program.
we do not have networking event
They have lots of volunteering work to do outside of work, which I find interesting and lovely to have. It also shows the giving back culture of the bank. If I were an employee at the bank, I would also love to be involved in the volunteering event outside of work.
Yes, nice culture nice people and very supportive and flexible HR team is what I like about the insight program. To better prepare the application, In order to successfully secure the space, make to sure to read their end of year report, which tells a lot about the company's culture and the company's expertise. It shows you have done some research before the interview. Also. read financial times about the recent news, there will be a question asking about it.
