The Role
It was a great learning experience. The exposure to so many talented people made me feel very proud and lucky to have had a chance to meet all these people and to learn from them. I feel my knowledge increased exponentially in just 10 weeks and most importantly, this internship made me realise this is the right career for me.
Extremely valued. My team was always very helpful to me and I always felt like I was a permanent employee. In the sense, I never felt that my team treated me as an intern. I really appreciated that.
My entire team was very helpful. especially my manager as he was always willing to give me time and discuss topics that i would be interested in. He gave me a lot of time in the beginning of the internship to make sure i understand the industry as well as the job well. He allowed me sufficient room to figure things out on my own but was always there when i required guidance.
Quite busy but I enjoyed that. I would hate to sit on the desk without having any work to do. But I had a good balance in the sense that I managed to enjoy my summers in London on the weekends and got a good amount of sleep on week days as well.
Way more than i expected. My manager let me take charge of one of the major publications of the year and that made me feel extremely valued. I felt it allowed me to experience what this job is like as an analyst and I am pleased to say that I thoroughly enjoyed having that responsibility.
I am not going back to university. But the skills I learnt here will help in all areas of life. The amount of knowledge and the way of thinking I learnt from the people around me is invaluable. I got a chance to apply all the things i learnt in my masters and CFA in a practical setting.
The Company
I hope to get a job so I can put this as a 10!
