The Role
Highly motivated people with fantastic work ethic and intellectually stimulating work
They could not have been more encouraging, helpful or patient. They treated me with respect and were happy to impart their knowledge and experience. The apprenticeship culture was truly motivating.
No matter how trivial the question, Goldman Sachs' management and supervisors would help out and answer willingly and without judgement.
I was always busy and always had work to do. This meant that I was constantly learning and progressing.
I was responsible for whole decks of work and was allowed to participate in client calls, although given the importance of the work and my inexperience coming from a non-finance background, I was learning from my peers as opposed to 'running the show'
The training has shown me how to use Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint very efficiently and has shown me how to persevere and contribute to a team. I was also able to use languages which meant I could develop my knowledge from my languages' degree. This was very helpful all in all.
The Company
Very motivating and I loved the apprenticeship vibe. People were incredibly talented and inspiring.
Beautifully organised, all events were thought through intricately, so that even the finer details were perfect
We had a training at the begging and the apprenticeship atmosphere meant we were constantly learning.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
If I get an offer at Goldman Sachs, my future employment prospects will be fantastic. If not, having it on my CV will benefit my future employment prospects to other places.
The Culture
We all got on very well and would hang out on the weekends and in our breaks.
London is an expensive city but I was fortunately living with my family
Very good but I wasn't doing the internship for the nightlife
there was a very good gym which I could use outside of work
