  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Everyone at GS is super friendly and there's a lot of challenging work to keep you occupied. Also, there's a lot of support from the HR team and affinity networks (kind of like clubs for the workplace)

    • The work that you do is real work that is used by the firm. And so there's people constantly on the lookout to make sure that you're able to deliver to the best of your ability

    • I had regular catch ups with my manager and was able to go to him with all the questions that I had. We also had regular feedback sessions

    • Super busy! Ten weeks has never felt like such a short time to me before.

    • Tons! You get to push your code into production. As a software engineer, there's no greater responsibility than that

    • I was able to apply a lot of theory and concepts that had been very abstract to me before the internship
