    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really did enjoy the insight. It was my first real experience of working in a technology based environment so it was very exciting for me and it lived up to my expectations. It was also exciting to meet like-minded people who enjoyed technology and this environment was very positive for me.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Eventhough I was mainly watching and learning, I was occasionally asked for input and it was nice that this was followed through with and actually valued as it showed that they valued me as a member of the team so I therefore, felt somewhat valued during my time there at the company.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I received a lot of guidance and support throughout the entirety of my insight. This was particularly exciting for me as I never really worked in such an environment before so this guidance was perhaps necessary for me to learn properly and help them in the company. They also gave me advice on how to get such a job.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think that the skills I developed will definitely help me as I continue my Computer Science degree as it will provide me a greater understanding of such and its applications. Beyond that, it could potentially help me if I go for a similar job or even go for any job in Computer Science due to the transferable skills.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was very well structured. Thankfully for me, they had just started working on a big project so I got to see it from start to finish, seeing it develop slowly, thanks to the incredible team of developers behind it and this helped me understand the development cycle and its applications.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The general atmosphere was very good throughout my whole insight. Since I was with like-minded people, it was easy for us to get along and talk to eachother about the work and other things. This was quite liberating and even helped us work better together and helped me learn more from them.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • In terms of personal training and development, I think that the company invested a lot in me. This is because they took the time to teach me alongside doing their own work as well as inviting me in to join them and join in on the development cycle of a great project.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The insight did indeed help me to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company because I got to join in on and witness their big projects as well as learn all the stuff that the company is based around, which was really exciting for me.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The insight was quite valuable in helping me decide on my future career path. Also, it has made me consider a wider range of jobs than before.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was paid for my time there which was particularly nice as it showed that they viewed me as an actual worker, helping their company conitnually improve. My expenses were also reimbursed, that is to say, they paid for my travel costs and my lunch costs, which was also nice of them.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were many opportunities for meeting other employeees of the company as the insight was mainly arranged in group projects so we would work together in different groups and this would allow me to get to know a wide range of people. We could then talk more after work and on breaks.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The networking opportunities were very good as it was clear that the employees really understood and really cared for technology and I really learned from this. Furthermore, it was quite evident that they cared for me too as they offered me guidance for the future, in getting a job, and my steps after university.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I did find out about a few activities that employees can get involved in outside work. They often met up socially to bring the group together and make work easier as when they could commmunicate better as friends, it would be easier to comunicate as workers in such an environment to get ideas across.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would definitely recommend this insight if you are interested in technology as it will provide you with an insight into the development cycle of a project, even if it just provides a glimpse into it. Furthermore, the tasks are very fun and the employees make it even better as it is very likely that you will share interests with them.
