  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There were some issues at the start, for instance I had agreed a start date with the company, but then a few weeks before hand I hadn't heard a thing from them and began to get worried, eventually it was all sorted out and my time there everything was really well organised.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company are really trying to help you advance, after my placement they have sponsored me to do my MSc course, so they have really put a lot behind me and they really encouraged us to go to national society meetings, which were great.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was only one other person who was on a placement with me at the time, but there was a pretty good social scene with everyone, we all went out to lunch once a week, and I know if I was around longer I would have had the chance to go on some nights out too!

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Living in Rugby is very reasonable, it is pretty cheap compared to most places, and socialising seemed to be the normal expected price, so I can't complain.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I didn't go out much while I was on my placement, to be honest there isn't a great deal to do in Rugby, but there are other cities close by, and we ventured to London a few times to go to meetings, which we could have turned in to a night out.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were quite a few, while I was there they had a squash ladder set up and were beggining to make up a football team too, which they were more than happy to let me try and take part in, and I'm sure there were other opportunities I could have got involved if I was there for longer.

    4/5
