The Role
Morgan Sindall were supportive, ambitious and always willing to go the next step to make my placement great.
By the end of the placement, I had forgotten I had to back to university due to the way they accepted my into the offices.
All the people who I had a chance to work with were helpful, especially close management. They always ensured I was happy, busy and enjoying the challenge. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
Some days were obviously busy than others, but thats the world of construction. I always had something to do and it was never too little and never over the top.
The first few months allowed me to find my feet, but after that Morgan Sindall started giving me much more responsibility. It made a real difference to my placement.
It certainly gave me valuable construction experience that has been extremely helpful in my last year. More importantly it has ensured me off my future career choice.
The Company
When on site, the atmosphere was brilliant. Never a dull moment and everyone seemed to gel really well together and get on well. When in the office it was a little more subdued, but certainly not boring.
I had the opportunity to try different aspects, being on-site and then some tendering, which benefitted me.
I was given the opportunity to go on a few training courses and factory visits which were also very beneficial.
Above 25 days holiday
I'm now a sponsored student which has given me confidence in the idea of having a job with them. From the end of my placement they were very open and keen on me coming back.
The Culture
On-site there were a few social "scenes" put on, however, in the office it was a lot less. This could be improved.
I lived with parents and therefore very cheap, and socialising isn't too expensive.
Its very average.
We organised a football match and then organised a five-a-side kick-a-bout on a weekly basis with really added to the social aspect of the job.
