The Role
Great introduction into the world of construction.
Perhaps a review of my progress could have been made after; 3, 6, 9 and 12 months to gain a sense of progression in my role during my placement.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] Our line managers provided great support throughout the placement.
Senior members of staff I was working under constantly kept an eye on my workload - to ensure the workload was the correct balance.
Performing monthly valuations on contracts upwards of £1 million.
The placement put all the theory learnt during university into practice.
The Company
There was a genuine warm, friendly and determined atmosphere on site.
Overall the placement was set up well, perhaps more dialogue was needed between myself and senior management in order to determine what I individually should be gaining from the placement.
Morgan Sindall went out of their way to provide myself with a good atmosphere, and the correct team to aid my personal training and development. Plus not many other 20/21 year old's get the chance to work on a £40 million pound school!
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
It would be a pleasure to work with Morgan Sindall again.
The Culture
The site team had regular events lined up, which created a real family atmosphere.
Cost of traveling to site was quite a high on expenditure.
The site team enjoyed numerous nights out together during the course of the project.
Apart from a few charity events, there did not appear to be many activities arranged outside of work.
