    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • A really good way to learn more about the company as they had many panel talks and discussions where we could ask loads of questions. There were a good amount of people on the spring week so it wasn’t too overwhelming, but at the same time it was a great way to make friends with similar interests

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All the staff members, no matter how senior, seemed to really care about our career progression even from such an early stage. All your questions were answered kindly, no matter how small or silly and the Grad Team were really supportive and genuinely wanted us to really enjoy our time there

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • We were supported with everything we did - they had scheduled grad panels, presentations from senior staff, networking events and work shadowing all which tied in together really well to give you a deep understanding of the division. The Grad Team were really helpful with all the logistics too (e.g providing accommodation, transport etc)

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • They put on interactive skills sessions which was a great way to gain a more professional understanding of how to present yourself, CV skills and networking skills. I felt more confident at the end of the week in myself, and it was a really good way of learning a lot of the terminology that I had never heard of before since I don’t do a finance related degree

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I thought the schedule was nicely packed, but not too overwhelming. The Grad Team stayed with us the whole time and always knew what was next. There were never moments where you were just sitting around waiting and they managed to fit so much into such a short space of time

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was generally great. It was exciting being in such a great work environment surrounded by really supportive friendly staff, as well as excited fellow students. They put on social events so there were never awkward moments and really tried to make it as fun as possible which they did really well!

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company seemed extremely committed to providing a solid career pathway, and were focussed on training you as an individual so you could succeed at anything you chose to do. The firm seemed so supportive, diverse and welcoming which really stood out to me, as the work environment never seemed strict or dull

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • At times some of the presentations were hard to follow because there were so many, but once you got to do some work shadowing all the discussions made sense and all the info you were given was tied together nicely. If you didn’t understand anything they really encouraged asking questions too!

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • We had some really great talks from many sectors of the company, from the specific divisions to how J.P. Morgan participated in philanthropic events and projects. The culture seemed so welcoming and the people definitely made the experience worthwhile as they were all so willing to help and to see you grow individually

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The spring insight was a really helpful way of getting to know the company as they gave you so much information about your specific decision, and also gave you options if you decided it wasn’t for you. They would answer any questions about the company it didn’t have to be just about that division, but it really helped me figure out it is for me!

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • They reimbursed absolutely everything so money was not an issue at all. The provided accommodation was great and they provided breakfast and lunch every day, with dinner on the first night. All my transport costs were covered as well so the only thing I paid for myself was dinner on my last night

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were so many chances to speak to members of the firm, whether via discussion sessions or networking lunches or work shadowing. They wanted us to be able to meet as many people as possible and really encouraged us to ask them anything we wanted about the company. The graduates were also really willing to help

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • They made sure we had scheduled networking events - for example we had two networking lunches, one with summer interns and the other with senior staff members. They also encouraged us to ask staff members questions during their presentations, as well as the grads during our work shadowing. I felt like I met so many people!

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • The opportunities at J.P. Morgan seemed endless - there were so many community projects to get involved in, as well as volunteering opportunities. We had an entire talk on these kinds of activities, as well as about their BRGs (business resource groups) which added to the inclusive environment at J.P. morgan

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend as I learnt so many things that you simply can’t learn via google. Meeting with the staff face to face is simply the best way to get a feel for the company and to figure out if it is for you or not

    5/5
