    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I found it one of the most stimulating weeks of my life.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The firm were very keen to make everyone feel comfortable, be them finance or non-finance students, and we were introduced to a range of employees.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • It would have been useful to have a more simplistic breakdown of the everyday actions of the different divisions. Otherwise we were well supported.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The information was above-and-beyond and I will use these skills throughout my career.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It would have been nice to spend longer in divisions, but the schedule was very good otherwise.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Both our peers and the reps were lively and friendly.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had skills sessions on presentation, case studies, interviews, assessments, and more.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • It would have been useful to be told more of the daily activities, but the culture and general roles were well explained.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The culture is friendly and broad, personal development is important at the bank.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I am fairly confident in what I would like to do as well as other options available, and the general path people in each division follow.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was reimbursed travel and accommodation for the duration of my stay, we had breakfast and lunch provided and one evening meal.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • We had a networking dinner and reps with us at most of our sessions.

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Excellent, we had a networking dinner and were able to meet and contact staff outside of our schedules to get to know them more. The interns were all very friendly and we were encouraged to work as a team instead of in competition with each other both in and out of the office.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • The culture of the bank is excellent, they are patrons of the arts, there are leadership programmes for women, guest lectures across a broad range of subjects, free language lessons during lunch hours.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely.
