    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I'm currently on the placement. Enjoying it so far. You can get as much out of it as you want. I really like what they do there at the recovery cafe. It's a non clinical setting for those who have problems and there are teams to sign post to other services.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is very relaxed there they let you get on with your own thing. And are accommodating to your personal needs. You feel valued as you're not getting paid for the service even though its part of the course. But the staff feel appreciative of the work that I do. And because i enjoy it so much it doesn't really feel like work

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I get daily support when required. But I'm left to my own devices and i am able to manage my own workload. So thats perfect as i hate being micromanaged as it makes me feel uncomfortable.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Quite busy. However there are some days that are slower than others which gives you time to work on paperwork.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not a lot of responsibilty. However i offered to take part of more responsibility as i felt there was more that i could do to help the service.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very quiet bety friendly very helpful everyone got on with their own thing but did not feel uncomfortable working there. A lot of support given. Felt comfortable enough to ask questions. A few staff members were more helpful than others but most of them went out of their way to help

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It wasnt very organised. But thar was through no faukt of their own. As they are a charity they were gowing through a tendering service. Lost the tender so there was a major change of service. However that gave me an opportunity to learn. And i used my initiative to find work to do.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
