Student Review

The First Year Trailblazer Insight day was very enjoyable, with it giving an excellent overview of the firm, its work, the staff, the application process, alongside a chance to network with the various people at the firm. Furthermore, it give a beneficial insight into the recruitment and application process at the firm.

There was a clear focus on all of us, with this being apparent during the business game and presentations - which were focused and interesting. The staff were engaging and informative, with them being very open to questions about the company and the various opportunities that are available at Taylor Wessing.

The Insight Day was excellently run with a clear timetable and structure to the day's activities. This was made clear from the start, with ample opportunities for food and refreshments during the course of the event. Furthermore, staff were welcoming to individual questions and discussion about the firm, with all of them being friendly and approachable.

The Trailblazer Insight Day helped me develop a number of important skills in relation to pursuing a legal career in the future. In particular, the focus on application hints and tips, alongside advice for the assessment centres and interviews was beneficial. Moreover, the event also provided opportunities to practice some of the skills the firm is looking for on their assessment day, such as group discussions and presentations.

The Insight Day had an excellent structured that was communicated well in advance of the event. This included information on the location, the timing of the event, a general guide as to the activities, and what was expected in terms of the dress code at the firm. The day followed a clear timetable that was adhered to, with opportunities for refreshments during the various sessions.

The general atmosphere at the firm was warm and welcoming, with a clear focus on us as first year students. There were excellent opportunities to talk to various members of staff from being the legal and graduate recruitment departments alike. Furthermore, all the staff were approachable and considered when answering questions.
