    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was really busy as I had many different projects to be getting on with, saying that I was not over my head with too much work to handle.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had just as much responsibility as a entry level graduate would expect to have.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was friendly, casual and lively. It was rarely boring as the other members of the team were great to chat to weather it was work related or not. There was always plenty going on in the office as all of the sub marketing teams were under one roof, this meant that I could get involved with other projects outside my team and sometimes with external departments.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was very structured, I wasn't the first to do a placement here so they had experience accommodating for placement students. This meant that as a job role it was as close to a real life role as possible. On my first day I had a full induction and was set my objectives for the year, which I found very useful.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • From the first day I was given loads of help and on the job training. Additionally I was able to go on two trains courses, Time management and presentation skills courses. Both of these were done by a professional external training company, this was also free of charge for me which is a bonus.

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    National Travel

    Financial Bonus

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I really enjoyed my time here and you definitely consider going back. The company have just started offering a national graduate scheme in a variety of departments. However if I was to return I would be more likely to apply for an entry level job in the Marketing Department as I found working there a pleasure.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene was great, I would meet up with people from the marketing team regularly. We also got a free Christmas party which was great. One of the benefits of working in the Marketing Department was that we got to go on additional Christmas parties and events with our marketing agencies. I also was able to travel with work for events such as trade fairs with overnight stays and more free nights out! The only downside was that I was the only placement student in the company, however there were plenty of fun social people in the business regardless.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived in Leamington Spa, my rent for a double bed room in a really nice shared house was £525 which was quite a significant chunk of my wage. The living costs of Leamington Spa were also quite high as it is a affluent area. There were cheaper areas you could live close by to the office, however Leamington Spa appealed to me as it has a student population and lots of nightlife.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was much better than I expected. Coming from a big city whilst living at University I was a little apprehensive, however there was still plenty to do . Another benefit was It was really cheap and easy to get to London. With a railcard I could get to London and back for a tenner!

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, like I've mentioned above the Marketing Department were very social and always up for doing things outside of work time. Other than this, you could take part a various things through work such as, volunteering days or sports activities. With it been a marketing role we got to go to lots of award shows, the best of these been the CIM Marketing Awards, where we won Marketing Team of the Year 2017.
