The Role
Honestly the team you get is a HUGE factor in how well the internship goes. My team manager was always away and he was always 'busy'. Not much help tbh.
Colleagues were very friendly but again had their own stuff to do.
Not much support tbh. When i had questions i was directed to look online which is fair but some of the stuff that i was stuck with was company specific stuff.
Meh could slack off on some days. Not too stressful.
Was given a large project which wasn't scoped right. Could say i was given too much responsibility for an intern since the project wasn't feasible.
Did develop some of my skills without a doubt
The Company
Pretty good, colleagues were friendly and outgoing.
Pretty well organised there were intern events set up by the company as well as interns that met up on weekends.
Just used pluralsight by myself. Not much 1-on-1 training.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Team dependant to be honest. If you get a good modern cutting-edge team you are in luck. Some teams still do legacy work. NOT GOOD.
The Culture
Yes a facebook group with all the interns. Every weekend there was something going on.
NA
Loads of night clubs in Glasgow. Mango, Hive etc...
Responsibility day were all the interns went gardening for some charity.
