    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Absolutely fantastic! It made my summer, and helped me to not feel as worried about my time at university coming to an end this year.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I treated in the same manner that other colleagues were. I felt that I did have the chance to question and to challenge, different ideas (in an appropriate manner, of course!)

  • They could not have been better, the working relationship was perfect!

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Absolutely!! Organising some projects meant that I started very early on some days and finished late on others, but they were very helpful in offering me flexi-time, to balance things out.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was tasked with high level responsibilities, to communicate with senior members of the team in-house and also to external visitors. I was also tasked to produce documentation.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • They have helped me to think largely about what I would like to do after university, and provided me with the confidence in carrying out projects. The need for me to show initiative will certainly be useful in the future.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Difficult times for universities so it is difficult to day. As I am continuing study at the moment I would not be able to be employed full-time. However, it is difficult to say after this!
