  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have a far greater understanding of how processes and decisions are made within a large business. Enabled valuable experience of professional behaviour and how a Senior manager works, and thinks. Work priority skill will greatly aid me in my assignments etc. The practical application of theory and business methods will help me put the material I am learning on my BA Business Studies course into a real-world context.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very forma, surrounded by a large number of Senior manager, directors, and Heads of within my group. Also worked across the office from the Managing director of Global Payments. Everyone happy to help but also helped me gain a strategic thinking mentality.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Had to change my location which understandably caused some confusion. however initial information and communication was exceptional, but following the change of location there were a number of issues. 1. Placement address and location was the incorrect office (sent details for 48 Chiswell St, upon arrival my first day found out it should have been 33 Old Broad Street, London. Also found at the Induction event my name badge still said my old assigned location of Birmingham on it. I was also sat at a table with all Birmingham interns. I also found a few weeks in, Reed had not been updated on my new location so had to resolve with them myself to ensure my payslip was correct, and they had all my correct office details.
