The Role
It was fun to commute to London and see work on large scale projects such as Cambridge housing developments and the Olympics.
I was assigned my own task and was not asked to help out with the team. I was however included in some meetings with the directors and design competition crits.
The team I was with were very helpful and assisted me with any dIfficulties I had on the CAD software. They also gave me some constructive feedback on my design options.
Very busy on my project.
Not so much as my project was hypothetical and I did no work on real projects nor was I taken on any site visits.
All of the skills that I used will be directly applicable to my degree; a fluency in CAD; model building; 3D rendering; layout and presentation.
The Company
Quite quiet everyone was hard at work but there were fun times with the team.
Emailed several months in advance, got a reply swiftly with details of the week a timetable and a project. Was met at the front desk and introduced to the team.
They gave me time and experience but I don't expect them to offer me a job on a short placement.
