The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement with RRG, I worked with the wonderful HR team and felt valued and supported throughout my 12 months as the Recruitment Assistant.
I felt very valued by my colleagues which really made me feel like I was making a positive contribution to the team and the company.
The support given by my Manager was fantastic! He was always looking to better my understanding of the company, my role and the industry which was very much appreciated. He was also very understanding of my university work and willing to help wherever possible.
The majority of the time I felt I had the perfect balance of being busy. There were only a very small number of times where we would be waiting to hear back from managers/candidates that I didn't feel as busy.
I felt I was given a huge amount of responsibility, I was trusted to manage my own projects,
I have learnt a huge amount from my placement with RRG, I am currently focusing my final year Research Project on the Recruitment industry which wouldn't have been possible without my time at RRG. I have improved myself on so many skills including communication, organisation and knowledge. I also completed the Social Talent Online Training during my placement.
The Company
It was a small office but the atmosphere was certainly never dull, I worked with a lovely team and everyday was different which certainly kept things interesting.
It was very well organised. From day 1 I was given the necessary access to the different systems, my role was made clear and I was started on my first project. From there I was gradually introduced to new pieces of information and projects so that I felt comfortable whilst continuously learning more and becoming more confident in my role.
There was a lot of internal training from my manager - the best person to learn about my role from. During my time with RRG we invested in the Social Talent online training programme which I am please to say I passes and received a certificate (also great to put on my LinkedIn page).
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
All colleagues have access to the internal job boards which details further prospects. During my time with RRG I saw many employees being promoted which was very positive to see in the organisation.
The Culture
I found all colleagues to be very friendly and social. The work Christmas party is definitely one to remember!
Unfortunately, being in London the cost of living and socialising is quite high, but this was to be expected and certainly not a shock.
In West London with local Central line tube stations it was very easy to travel into London where there is a huge variety of bars and clubs to choose from.
Not that I know of, but this was not something I looked into.
