    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great company culture. A lot of effort put in to make sure everyone gets to know a little bit about all the company's divisions and activities. Great infrastructure and technology. The downside was that the work performed was quite easy, I was not too busy and never felt out of my comfort zone. The hours were also not very long (approx. 10 a day). I wish I had worked more

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt they were really supportive, all took time to answer my questions and were really helpful with everything.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Lots of support and guidance. Management/supervisors were always available to help me and answer my questions.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Not much. Some times really bored of not doing anything. It was not challenging.

    1/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not much. But probably expected of interns.

    1/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not much because my degree is not directly related to the financial industry.

    2/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great. Everyone was really nice and helpful.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised. For me personally, maybe a little bit too much.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • In terms of resources and monetary investment, probably a lot. In terms of giving me projects that would force me to reinvent myself and improve a lot my skills and work capabilities, not much.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised/Company Gym

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Great. But it depends a bit on teams and divisions.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes. Everyone was nice, made a couple of friends and went out together.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is really expensive.

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Did not really tried it.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really because I was only here for 10 weeks, could not get involved in long term activities.

    2/5
