  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed my internship. I got to meet a variety of people in different part of the firm, i sat closely with my manager to understand the team's strategy and i had opportunities to contribute in a meaningful way to the team.

    • My colleagues were extremely friendly, i felt welcomed the moment i walked through the door. Everyone is approachable and welcoming and willing to help

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • I sat next to my manager and could always escalate any issues i had to her. HCM were extremely supportive and set up weekly sessions for questions.

    • My managers really took the time to understand what i needed to keep motivated and i always had work to do or someone to shadow.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was given more responsibility that i thought i would get as an intern. My team works closely with me to make sure i understood the process and procedure to help me feel comfortable with the task

    • Absolutely! I learn how to network, how to present, how to interact in a team, how to think through a problem and how to facilitate my self learning.

    • Everyone at the office is very friendly and helpful. Even though people are very busy, they'll always take the time to answer your question.

    • The internship is very well organized and set up.

    • The firm invest largely in your personal development and training. There are courses you can take online, classes you can sign up for and if you ask for the opportunity, your team will try their best to help you out.

    • Goldman is a great company with lots of opportunity. If you want to work in face paced, supportive environment where a lot is expected from you, it's a great place to work!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes! We all became really great friends really quicky and we frequently hang out after work and explore the city together.

    • There are lots of restaurants by work with lots of delicious options.

    • Lively with lots of bars and cool restaurants!
