The Role
The placement was a great opportunity to perform the role and be treated as a full time employee. It provided a clear idea of what the role involves and what it was like to be an employee within the company.
I was a part of a team which treated me just like another employee. I was valued and any praise was expressed in catch-ups which were regular with each member of the team.
Guidance and support was always an email or phone call away. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to support you with everything and anything.
I performed the same job as a full time employee.
I was given extensive responsibility in regard to projects and daily tasks.
The job will enhance my studies through the skills developed such as organisation, time management and efficiency.
The Company
Being in the financial industry the atmosphere can be serious and pressurised but within the team it can also be light-hearted and friendly.
The placement was set up well, we had regular meetings to review how the placements was going and offered any help in enhancing the experience.
I was offered the same training as all employees which provided personal and commercial development.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
Very appealing, the ompany offers a lot.
The Culture
There were only 4 placements in my division but we all met up occaisionally.
I lived in London, so the cost of living was around half my salary a month. I saved and so could not socialise too much,
Nightlife was extensive but expensive.
There were a few events.
