  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Lots of guidance on progression for the future. However it was only a short placement so it wasn't as much learning skills but learning about the job and company.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested quite a lot in us as they paid for all of our travel expenses. In addition, they made a real effort to be active in talking to us all. Which was all great as we are only 1st year students.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The insight helped we gained a great insight into what the firm would be like. The most interesting part was being able to do a 2 hour work shadowing experience with some of the current graduates. Also experience pathways were explained to us at the end of the day.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • We had talks for several different staff members from all of the different departments in the business. We also had an office tour which showed us the set up; which was very open and flexible with hot desking playing a key role. Also, we had time to get a good insight into work and out of work life from the graduates.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • All of the information provided was very helpful. They got different members of staff to talk to us and share what they do and how we could be involved. They also made clear how they love to invest in new and immerging talent from all degrees.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • We were given up to £50 to cover our travel expenses which I think is necessary especially as it took place in London and all travel to the city is very expensive for students.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes we all got to question 4 graduates on their current work and how their APCs were coming along. We also did some work shadowing with some graduates. In addition we were able to meet several of the HR staff and to recurve talks and question a couple of the senior me where of staff.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There were a few opportunities however it was only a day long placement therefore we did not get a lot of time to meet and great all of the staff. Although we were able to spend time with other interns and members of staff so some realationshop foundations could be set.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • We did recurve some information about what goes on outside of working hours however most of this information was found from asking questions of the employees including the graduates. They did explain however some of the company's activities with their charity which was interesting.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would highly recommend this insight day to my friends as it was well organised, we received a lot of information and very good care, the staff made us feel welcome and gave us the impression that they were pleased to have us there with them. We were given lunch, transport cost were subsidised, overall a great day
