About You
I really enjoyed the two weeks and was able to meet people from all walks of life. Gained a great insight into the firm and met lots of senior bankers.
We were all given lots of independent tasks and I felt like I contributed well to my group projects and teams
HR team were amazing. Senior bankers were also very helpful as well as analysts and associates. They all helped us throughout the two weeks and took their time out to assist us whenever possible.
Didn't have such a vast impact as I study languages, but developed my communication skills, professionalism and team work skills. Group projects and presentations enabled us to enhance various skills and step outside our comfort zone.
The Company
Very organized, each day filled with various talks and projects.
Everyone was very friendly, there was no negative energy or tension at all.
We received lots of help and talk from employees of all different levels. Too senior bankers came out to talk to us but these were simply talks, so they weren't that personal. HR gave feedback after one week which was helpful
I was able to meet a variety of bankers and employees of different levels and able to get an insight into the banks culture and working life. Buddy scheme and case studies were helpful too. However we weren't able to actually go on the IBD floor due to compliance
Able to understand the banks culture very well through talks and meeting people however wasn't able to get hands on/practical insight into it
Very helpful. Got a great insight and now know o would lie to pursue a career in this field
Everything Else
Paid £800 which was great as not many firms pay. Also we were essentially getting paid to learn things.
There were opportunities essentially every day as well as various networking events
Great, however sometimes it would've been nice if there were more people to talk to. Often one banker talking to a group of five people so it was hard to ask all the questions you want.
Found out about various schemes and networks in the bank
100% it's a top investment bank and also I feel as though I experienced the work culture and gained a greater insight than my friends at other insight weeks. Also it was two weeks as opposed to the shorter spring weeks at other banks. The people were very friendly and approachable and the atmosphere was great
