  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Excellent 10 weeks. Challenging and engaging.

  • Everyone in the whole department was very welcoming and friendly.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My line manager always challenged me to do better, as well as varying my work & delivering a constant stream of it, and always provided feedback on each piece, as well as my overall performance.

  • My hours were perfectly reasonable for most of the duration of the internship.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • My team were keen to get me involved with as many deals, transactions, or even unconventional reviews as possible, along with providing me with opportunities to present to executives or MDs.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This is the profession I now wish to make my career in.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was friendly and calm, but still ultimately professional.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Everything was extremely well organised, from our everyday work to our case study to the number of social events throughout the 10 weeks.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • After an initial entire week of training, separate training classes & online courses were made available to us for the duration of the internship, with almost one a day for the first half or so.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Employment prospects are excellent once an intern receives a job offer (which happens at the very end of the inernship), but these haven't been given yet.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were numerous social events throughout the internship which were always carefully arranged & well set-up.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The City of London is really expensive.

  • There are bars and clubs all over the city, never had a problem with this.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were opportunities for this, but for those of us enjoying the social events and committing to our work meant those were usually prioritised here.
