About You
So much - could speak to absolutely anyone and everyone was willing to spend time with me and explain things!
The Company
There was a structure, but also lots of free time - you structure and get to make what you want of the programme!
Very friendly, very positive!
For each desk we had a presentation to give us more information. We could then use what we learnt when desk shadowing. We had a desk rotation everyday, but we could really shadow anyone when we were free!
You get to do similar hours to employees and really get a sense of what they do.
Culture is massive at this firm, it really is integrated into everything they do - whether its how they work with each other or even with clients. One thing about their culture is that they want to teach people below them and so are really keen to help interns.
Its not a vague overview of the division, we get to learn about each desk and then get to experience each desk.
Everything Else
Paid a salary over the two weeks.
Some official networking events, but generally you can network all the time - you are given free reign of the trading floor at all times so can really network whenever.
lots of representatives were there, and they were happy to spend time with you and talk to you.
We had an affinity networking event (possible networks), workers are happy to talk to you about anything.
