About You
Good fun! It is one of the few spring insights that allocate you to a desk. It is such a good opportunity as it fully exposes you to the reality to Banking!
I did not receive any demeaning tasks. I developed and learnt a lot from all the projects that I was set.
I was allocated a mentor, a buddy and a manager, so there were numerous people who I could turn to for advice.
I learnt a lot of transferrable skills, including how to network effectively and how to present which I can apply both in my degree and beyond.
The Company
Very well structured. You are allocated a desk and set a project. Therefore, you are kept constantly busy! Alongside this there was on average a one hour session everyday, be it on CV building or practice Case Studies
Very nice! General culture of the firm is very friendly. I felt like I could approach anyone
Over the two weeks, there were many group sessions that focused on developing our skill sets. In addition, at the end of the two weeks we were given constructive feedback on our performance, really allowing us to develop further as a person.
Very much so. I worked full time for two weeks - from 6.30am to 5.30pm.
I was able to see the culture of the firm first hand because I was meeting new clients everyday.
Yes, confirmed my original thoughts about going into an investment bank.
Everything Else
Networking events were arranged
Good, first session on the program was 'how to network' this set me up well for really taking advantage of the opportunities that were provided.
