    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Fun, laid back placement. The work wasn't great but the people were lovely.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Didn't often feel that the work I was going was of any use.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Always someone to ask if you had a problem.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had things to do but also plenty of time to do them...

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A vac scheme so not much they can give you but a lot of the work was set work they use again and again so not much responsibility there.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Gave a me good feeling for law and different types of work.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Not much of a buzz in the offices but pleasant, and friendly.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • A couple of issues around admin but mostly it was a well organised placement.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Only a vac scheme so there's a limit to how much they can do. There wasn't any formal training but my supervisors and buddies would always take the time to explain things to me if I was stuck.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • A lovely firm, very friendly with some interesting work but not the right specialisms for me.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We all got on really well and had lunch together most days.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London, so pretty pricey but at least in westminster you've got more options than being in the city.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Didn't really sample the nightlife of the area much but London has everything you need.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • They organised a couple of social events which were good fun but other than that there wasn't much else to get involved with but it was only two weeks.

    4/5
