  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had a great time at my placement this summer. It was both professional and fun.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Whenever I would present a piece of work to my colleagues they always provided me with positive feedback and highlighted the amount of effort that I put in. This made me feel like I was part of the team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everyone was very helpful regardless of how busy they were. I was given the support and guidance fully whenever I required it. It was excellent.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It depends on how you organize yourself and manage your time. You will almost always have work to do. On average I was quiet busy due to meetings and deliverables.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility. I had to take full ownership of my project and ensure that it is delivered by the set date. Also, when setting up meetings and calls, I had to make sure that the other person(s) schedule worked mutually with mine, and vice versa.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It has made me much more confident and has allowed me to be more organized with time management.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was normally busy, especially mid week. However, people were generally very friendly even when they are busy, and were always willing to help.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was a very well structured program that kept us all busy. Also promoted out of work activities which was excellent.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm invested time in teaching the interns their work ethos and culture. It tailored me to work the way the firm does.

  • very appealing.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • All interns got along very well. We normally had lunch together and were accompanied sometimes by work colleagues. On Friday's we would usually get together for a few drinks after work!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was quiet expensive.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The Nightlife was really nice in the area. On Friday's most bars and clubs had a very vibrant atmosphere where everyone was having a good time.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The Firm provided many different activities outside of work which I was able to engage in and found to be excellent.
